The Big Parade (1925)

New on Blu-ray is The Big Parade (1925). When this silent film first came out it was a financial success playing at the Astor Theater in New York for nearly two years. Directed by King Vidor this tale of three buddies caught up in what then was called the Great War and is a shrewdly judged blend of comedy, romance, action, and tragedy. The Big Parade also happens to be one of the few silent features for which the original negative still exist. Worth checking out! Not seeing it offered by Netflix for viewing.
