Marx Brothers Double Feature
Carnegie-Stout Library will present a Marx Brothers double feature with Horse Feathers and Duck Soup this Thursday November 18th @ 6PM. Featuring Grocho as a college president who can't keep his student body in line, Horse Feathers (1932) is an "anarchic parody of the highest education" with a frenzied footbal finale involving chariots, hot dogs, banana skins, elastic bands, and coutless footballs.
Duck Soup (1933), considered to be the Marx Brothers' "purest and most insane film," is a "pointed political satire" which spoofs everything from war to 1930's musicals.
Both films are in black and white and are about one hour long each and not rated.
