New Beatles Documentary

Calling all Beatle fans! There is a new documentary Good Ol" Freda that is currently playing in the big city theaters. It is about a women named Freda Kelly who was the secretary to the Beatles, their fan club, and to their manager Brian Epstein. She was a loyal friend and trusted confidant to the Fab Four for nearly the entire time that the band was together. I have seen some excerpts of this film and it looks like it would be a decent film to add to the Netflix queue.

Movie Magic with Mike Zahs

Movie Magic with Mike Zahs will be presented by the Julien International Film Festival this Thursday September 12 @ 7PM. Collector and historian Michael Zahs, of Ainsworth, IA. will present short films predating 1910, as well as the precursor to early films known as "magic lantern slides." Zahs will share anecdotes and little known facts about the history of film in Iowa.
