Registration and submission forms for Get Reel: Dubuque Student Film Competition & Festival 2007 are now available. The registration deadline is March 31, 2007. The film submissions are due by March 31, 2007. The pre-registration form should be submitted as soon as any participating students begin to work on their films. Get Reel is open to current students at any of the four high schools in Dubuque: Senior, Hempstead, Central, or Wahlert. Grand Prize is $1,000.

All films will be screened at a "red carpet awards ceremony" at Star Cinema on April 15, 2007, and will also be aired on one of Mediacom's public access channels.

Chicago Short Film Brigade

The new Chicago Short Film Brigade season starts in January. The Film Brigade hosted a screening at the Voices From the Warehouse District last October, so hopefully they will return to Dubuque in early 2007. Watch their site for updates!
